This 1976 Kenworth show truck won another trophy at the Antique Auto Club of America (AACA) National Meet in Gainesville Florida on March 5th 2005, and trophy at the Mid-America Truck Show up in Louisville Kentucky on Thursday March 25th, 2004. Luckily the weather was nice and sunny and everyone was able to see that terrific irridescent paint job.

This truck is now finished being restored. After winning at the show in Dallas it got the following sponsors: A wing from TaylorWings.com, Aircleaners from Vortox.com, Diamond Plate Full Fenders from ProTech.com, shiny repolished aluminum wheels from CraderTire.com, a Gangsta Visor from MecaTruckChrome.com and some new tires from AAccurate of Ormond Beach, Florida. We want to thank all of our sponsors for making this truck look even better with each peice.

Russ with his "My Old Flame"

This 1976 Kenworth has been lovingly restored by Russell Perillo. It has taken him 2 long years to completely restore every inch of this classic beauty. When riding in it you can always see people pointing as they pass because of the way it changes color as they drive by. It is truly a headturner and has many unique touches that you will not see on any other trucks at any other shows.
Front Grill Flames
Some of these touches are flames above the grill made from mud flap flames, an irridescent poly-urethane clear coat that sparkles in the sunlight, you would have to see it in person-as it is too hard to show the irridescence in photographs, phosphorescent flames behind the grill that glow in the dark and glow at night under a black light mounted under the hood, flames painted on the mudflaps, flames on the ceiling, purple underbody lighting, purple rope lights in the aircleaners, purple bullet lights all over the front.

A photo of it appeared in the September, 2004 Issue of Overdrive Magazine.

It is a completely remodeled working antique. It was originally bought from a neighbor who we know takes really good care of his vehicles. He didn't really want to part with it because he had intended to give it to his son. But we talked him into selling it to us and spent over 2 years working on the restoration. We still have all the original repair receipts from when our neighbor owned it as well as over $25,000 in receipts since we acquired it. Altogether it has over $60,000 worth of repair and remodeling receipts that you can look thru and gasp at. We certainly did when we were paying for them. All new Springs and Hangars, New Wet Line Kit, New U-Joints, New Torsion Bars and $5000 frame alignment, Replaced almost all Air Hoses, New Chrome Stacks, Drive Train Rebuilt, Sliding Fifth Wheel, Twin Air seats, Jake Brake, New Air Conditioning, Power Steering, 13 Speed Tranny, 44 Rears, 3406 Cat Engine, New Chrome Front Bumper, Lots of Chrome Accents, Lots of Lights, Custom Base Coat-Clear Coat-Polyurethane with Irridescent Sparkles, Aluminum Wheels, Brand New Brakes and Drums all the way around and hardware, All New Fluids and Filters, New Radiator Core, New Rear Tandem Full Fenders, Interior Completely redone-new floorboard, new carpet, new paint. More photos available upon request. This fabulous show truck is for sale for $23,995 OBO
